Problem We Helped Solve
Gowdie Management Group were facing significant challenges due to a limited temporary building supply of just 80A on a tight Gold Coast construction site, with demand for over 600A of equipment across crane, hoist, site sheds, and temporary building power – as well as a 24/7 dewatering system.
What Needed to be Powered
This site involved powering
– 1 x 160A Hoist
– 1 x 250A Crane
– 12 x Site Sheds
– Dewatering system
Alternatives Assessed
Multiple diesel generators would have been required; at least 2 × 300kVA generators, along with back-up genset for dewatering.

By switching to a battery solution, the site removed diesel entirely (except in the case the back-up genset is ever triggered) —cutting emissions, eliminating fuel deliveries, and creating a cleaner, safer worksite.
Eliminated Noise
Construction is taking place in a built-up holiday area, so removing a diesel generator significantly reduces noise levels and helps maintain a more community-friendly environment.

The battery system provides consistent, reliable power for all essential construction equipment, including the critical dewatering system, ensuring the project continues without interruption.
