Problem We Helped Solve

Gowdie Management Group were facing significant challenges due to a limited temporary building supply of just 80A on a tight Gold Coast construction site, with demand for over 600A of equipment across crane, hoist, site sheds, and temporary building power – as well as a 24/7 dewatering system.

Alternatives Assessed

Multiple diesel generators would have been required; at least 2 × 300kVA generators, along with back-up genset for dewatering.

  • The Powershift team presented a range of tailored solutions to demonstrate the versatility of integrating a battery on site, giving Gowdie the confidence to move forward with a solution that best met their operational needs.
  • Deployed a Powershift Enertainer BESS unit charging from 80A of TBS to power all on-site equipment, with a genset back-up triggered via ATS (automatic transfer switch) should grid supply be lost, to ensure dewatering is always taken care of.
  • 24/7 monitoring and support by Powershift ensured the battery delivered consistent, reliable power throughout the project, giving the customer peace of mind.

The Enertainer Series are large-scale advanced battery systems, engineered to power entire construction sites and heavy industrial plant and equipment.

Over the course of the project, the Powershift BESS has supplied consistent, reliable power from a modest TBS feed of 80A, ensuring construction can continue without disruption.
