THE BRIEF
Problem We Helped Solve
Decode needed a reliable power solution to run a large demand from a very small grid supply and on a very tight site.
The requirements was to power over 700A of equipment – two tower cranes, two hoists, a tower boom and site general power – from only a 63A supply. With almost no space on site, the BESS unit also needed to be placed in the basement. Powershift was able to service this need with a single P300 unit, replacing what would otherwise have required three separate generators.
Power availability on site also changed as the project progressed, at times dropping below the standard 63A TBS supply, so Powershift worked closely with the Decode team to monitor loads in real time and ensure the site never lost power.
Alternatives Assessed
A genset-only approach comprising 300kVA, 200kVA and 60kVA generators.
