The challenge

Our customer needed a reliable temporary power solution to keep a multi-tenancy commercial precinct operational while permanent grid connection was delayed. The site housed four active tenancies – a gym, swim school, dentist and GP clinic; each requiring continuous, dependable power to stay open and trading.

What needed to be powered

  • Gym – 100A
  • Swim school – 42A
  • Dentist – 38A
  • GP clinic – 43A, with 24/7 power for vaccine storage
  • Peak/max demand total ~223A

The alternative

A 300kVA generator running 24/7, sized to match the site’s peak load without a BESS. That would have meant higher fuel costs, constant noise to the tenancies, greater maintenance overheads and a larger emissions footprint.

The solution

  • Powershift deployed a POWRBANK MAX paired with a 200kVA genset that ran for a few hours a day to charge the BESS, creating a hybrid solution capable of meeting the site’s full peak demand while significantly reducing reliance on diesel.
  • The hybrid setup delivered continuous, clean and quiet power across all four tenancies, keeping the gym, swim school, dentist and GP clinic trading uninterrupted through the grid delay.
  • 24/7 monitoring and support from Powershift ensured the system powered all premises reliably.
